Why do they look down on another teenagers ?

They [Some of kids that are in Internation school and Bilingual school in Thailand] look down on Thai teenagers. I mean they really look down on poor Thai teens but why ? I hate it when those soiled kids insult people who are poverty, once I went to KFC [KFC is expensive here] and one of my friend was pigging out and his girl said "Stop pigging out, you're not a poverty". I was like what !!!! Does it mean poverty must be pigging out while eating ? No ! I don't think so. And also once I was with my Ex-gf house and there was a guess in there, my ex said that I have to tell them guess I'm half thai or whatever nationality just because she didn't want that [caucasian] guess to know I'm Thai !. It's depressing how people react to Poor Thai teens. If there's any teens here used to be or live in Bangkok please tell me why ? I'd like to go ask them as well but they wouldn't talk to me for sure.

P.S This is Thailand ok ?

Best Budget Pattaya Girl Friendly Hotels for Short Term Stay

Pattaya's sex district is an ideal side trip from Bangkok. And if you just want to stay for a few days and not spend too much money on hotels then you're in luck. Pattaya has plenty of cheap budget hotels near go go bars, beer bars for freelance pick-ups and who can forget the massage parlors with happy endings.

Even though most budget hotels in Pattaya are not in the best shape they are still very popular. Because it's the low price that is the most important factor. And there are lots of cheap accommodations in Pattaya that cost around 550 baht per night with a simple breakfast included in the room rate.

Keep in mind the low season is from April to early October where the rates are reduced from 20% to 40%. It's hot and rainy during that time but in most cases there are plenty of air conditioned shopping malls and restaurants to cool down in.

Many popular budget girl friendly hotels are perfectly located close to the popular Walking Street, a famous crowded street full of go go bars and beer bars.

Most of the hotels that are very affordable in the area is from a hotel chain called Sawasdee. They provide cheap accommodations in Bangkok as well.

One of the most popular girl friendly hotel is right by the beach called Sawasdee Sea View Hotel. It's not in the best shape but it only cost around 500 baht per night and as I mentioned right on the beach. And the room rate includes a simple breakfast too.

A little further inland is the Sawasdee Pattaya Hotel. For 600 baht a night and it's located in Soi Diana, a very popular street with a group of go go bars that shouldn't be missed.

All of the hotels mentioned above are great for short time stays but if you want a hotel that's in better condition for long term stay I recommend Sunshine Hotel and Residence. A comfortable and clean standard room cost 900 baht a night with free buffet breakfast. And the location is convenient for having a great night out.

Whether you're staying in Pattaya for short term or long term it's best to book your rooms at these hotels at least a week in advance during the high season. During low season you should book at least a few weeks in advance. But in any case when it comes to food, hotels and nightlife action it's always much more affordable in Pattaya.

Thailand Experts Question for Itinerary?

This question goes out to the Karayzy Al's and Khun Bob's of the awesome Yahoo Answers crowd. If you were on vacation and were due to arrive in Bangkok Subharnabumi's airport at 12:30pm in the afternoon on Dec 27, and were traveling by yourself, and scheduled to go back home two 1/2 weeks later in Jan 13, what would you do? And don't feel like you can't write a long answer because I got all day to read. And assume that you didn't have too much money to spend.

Some questions to add to the above: Would you a) do anything special for New Years (Dec 31)? Any place good for fireworks? b) Go to any other parts like Chaing Mai? Phuket? Islands like Ko Samui? c) what would be your preferred mode of transport? Would you take a taxi from the airport to your hotel? d) for accomodations would you stay some place cheap like Suk11? Would you arrange it ahead of time or would you book online in advance? e) assuming you can't speak Thai, would you try to find a girl to help you arrange tours and purchase souvenirs?
After landing in BKK's airport where would you go for food? And how much cash would you bring? How heavily to rely on ATM's?
gary o: if you've been following the Thailand threads for the past couple months like Karazyal has, you would know that I've already an idea of what to do. If you don't know anything about traveling to Thailand move on. The people that I'm asking for answers to have already seen many of my questions and I have an idea of who these people are.
Thanks Khun Bob and Karayzal! You guys are awesome! I guess I should have clarified that I'm going by myself and maybe I asked too many questions. I really wanted ideas on what YOU guys would do. Now that we got all the small details out of the way like atm, and transportation out of the way, perhaps someone else who has been to Thailand can tell us where THEY would like to go if they visited Thailand in December. Btw - Are you sure Samui has monsoon in early Jan? Because that's when I was planning to go.

Visiting Bangkok’s Sex District on a Budget

Having fun in Bangkok's sex districts can be get quite costly. Things are still affordable in Bangkok. But wouldn't it be great to live in a good hotel, eat well, play hard and still have enough money in your pocket when you are back home?

Cheapest way to get to Bangkok from the airport

The cheapest way to get to Bangkok from the airport is the airport express bus. To find it, head to the 2nd floor and look for entrance #8. There are two ticket offices, one inside by entrance #8 and one outside where the airport express stops and departs. There are only 4 routes and each makes stops to or near most hotels in central Bangkok. A ticket is only 150 baht. There is also a public bus option but if you're a first timer it is not recommend. Getting lost with luggage through an often hot and humid street in Bangkok is a surefire way for a bad experience.

Budget places to stay in Bangkok's sex districts

There are 3 red light districts: Patpong, Nana and Soi Cowboy. It's best to pick a hotel near Nana red light district. There are more affordable budget hotels in that area. Plus you can walk to Soi Cowboy from Nana in 20 minutes.

It's also ideal to stay in a hotel that doesn't charge you a fee for taking a lady, gay or ladyboy back to your room. These hotels are called guest friendly, such as the ones listed below:

Swiss Park Woraburi Sukhumvit Boss Suites Majestic Suites Nana Hotel

Those hotels are in the 1,000 baht to 1,500 baht range and are very popular hotels right within Nana red light district. Are there any cheaper hotels? Yes, but not by much and in any case, not worth staying in. Spend a few hundred baht more and you'll be in a comfortable quality hotel.

By staying in a guest friendly hotel, you can take a lady to your room, instead of resorting to renting a room in a short time hotel that cost 300 baht for the hour.

Where to meet ladies and save money

There are plenty of places where Thai freelancers stand around in Nana red light district. They charge around 1,500 baht for short time and 3,000 to 5,000 baht for long time (depending on how early it is in the night). Freelancers are the best ways to save money.

If you were in a go go bar you'd be paying for expensive drinks for you and the bar girl. And to get her out of the bar you have to pay a bar fine to the establishment. On top of that you have to pay for the bar girls time. You'll be paying at least a minimum of 2,800 baht total for fun in a go go bar.

Cheap eats in Bangkok

To really save money on food do what the locals do, eat at street side restaurants. Overall foods of all types such as fast foods, food courts and food in supermarkets run by Thais are good choices to sample a wide variety of food for cheap.

A bowl of noodle with bits of pork and green vegetables by a street stand is about 30 baht in central Bangkok. A small bottle water is 5 baht. If you want a can of Coca Cola soda it's 14 baht in a 7 Eleven. The rule of thumb is if you can avoid the McDonald's and Burger Kings you'll save a significant amount of money.

Beer is also cheap. You can pick up a large can of local beer for 35 baht. And since drinking beer on the street is legal (except Buddha holidays) you can sit by and watch freelancers.

Bangkok has always been an affordable place to stay for a long stay vacation. Though prices have slowly been creeping up for almost everything, especially for tourists. But through a bit of discipline and self control you can still have the best time in Bangkok's red light districts and still save money.
