I’m a college student and I want to travel the world with spending as little money as possible, but how?
I want to see the world, visit places like Israel, India, Bangkok, London, etc., you know, like the typical naive American girl that I am. However, a problem arises...money. Actually getting to the countries is an issue, with some flights reaching over 15 grand...are there any resources that offer college students, like myself, discounts on flights for next to nothing? I have no problem working or volunteering in some of the countries if that could help me.

Discounts, yes. Next to nothing, not likely.
You could talk to your religious organization about mission work. That would vary.
Rotary international has an exchange program, you should check the rules and see if they can help you.
Peace Corps…not the countries you mention, but they pay most of it in exchange for your work. My niece is doing it now, and she’s really having a great time, considering it’s third world, and all.
There are some organizations that help you to find jobs, but you would be contracted for, like, a year, to stay at the same place, and they are having a harder and harder time getting the visas. Still, if you took such a position, you WOULD have a visa before you left the country, because the reputation of the organization is on the line. I’m not sure what they do for the airfare. I think you pay full fare, or nearly full fare.
Unfortunately, it is becoming more and more difficult to do this sort of thing.
Here’s a link to organizations that help find jobs in Spain.

I love traveling but I’m poor too! No worries, I’ve actually become involved with EF College Break Tours. They’re the cheapest deals I’ve found because they include airfare, hotels, food, and even tours of famous places. The website efcollegebreak.com has a TON of options. They basically hit everywhere! There is one to Egypt, Thailand, Japan, London, Ireland, Spain, ok I’m going to stop listing because they pretty much have it to everywhere! They even have tours that hit multiple countries or cities. It’s really fun I’ve been on the Italian tour and I’m planning on the Greece one next. It’s really safe for younger travelers and you’re with a group of college students who obviously share similar passions for traveling. Just go check out the website because they can probably explain it better and for each trip they give you a price quote from your airport and a trip itinerary of what you will do and suggestions of places to explore on your own or with friends from the group. Also, when you book or if you bring friends, you can all use this promo code: canedo2153 because it gets you money off. It can be anywhere from 50-250 depending on the trip you pick. Anyways, I hoped this helped!!
