Bangkok?s Best Go Go Bars & Guest Friendly Hotels

Bangkok’s go go bars for men are the stuff that dreams are made of. It’s where you can easily find booze at really affordable prices as well as the company of beautiful women. Read on to find out where to find the most popular go go bars and which hotels you should take your lady of the night for some action.

There are 3 red light districts with go go bars: Patpong, Nana and Soi Cowboy. It’s best to stay in a guest friendly hotel near the red light districts. The reason is guest friendly hotels won’t charge you a joiner fee for bringing a bar girl back to your room. Don’t worry, guest friendly hotels are clean – matter of fact some of them are the most popular hotels in Bangkok.

Patpong Red Light District

Patpong is the birthplace of Bangkok’s go go bar culture. Some of the most popular go go bars in Patpong belong to the King’s Castle and Queen’s Castle entertainment group. King’s Castle has 3 go go bars. Be aware that King’s Castle 3 have all transvestites working inside, while the others have a small number mixed in with real ladies. Best to ask the Mamasan to figure out which is which.

Nana Red Light District

This areas claim to fame is Nana Entertainment Plaza. The entrance is on Nana Soi 4, right across from the Nana Hotel and its parking lot (a popular place to pick up freelance prostitutes). NEP is a small 3 floor building with an open courtyard in the center filled with bars. Surrounding these bars are popular go go bars like Hollywood, Rainbows and Angel Witch. There’s a big lady boy scene here too and you’ll find them at Obsessions and Cascades.

Soi Cowboy Red Light District

Located in the pricey neighborhood of Sukhumvit, Soi Cowboy is the choice of expats in Thailand. Having recently renovated the neon lights are once again glowing brighter and its popularity is reviving after a long dry spell. Soi Cowboy is where you’ll find Long Gun, Rawhide and Cowboys, just a few of the long standing go go bars that pack a large crowd every night. My personal favorite however, is Spice Girls. Many of Soi Cowboy’s go go bars have happy hour drink specials. So it’s a great place to start the night out with a bang.

If you ever want to take a bar girl back to your hotel for an overnight sex romp you first have to negotiate with her on the price. Usually for overnight or “long time” is about 3000THB to 5000THB depending on your bargaining skills and even on how she feels. After you’ve settled on a price you will then have to pay a bar fine, 500THB to bar management, and only then can she be off with you.

Girl Friendly Bangkok Hotels in Nana & Soi Cowboy Red Light Districts

An important part of planning a successful holiday is knowing where to stay. And if you're planning to visit any of Bangkok's sex districts it's best to stay in a girl friendly hotel in Bangkok. It's the preferred choice of accommodation by seasoned visitors to Bangkok's red light districts and you'll find out why below.

Girl friendly is just a reference to a hotel that will not charge their guests fess for taking a bar girl, Thai freelancer, ladyboys (yes they are considered girls in Thailand) and even gay or lesbian companions back to a hotel room. This fee is called a joiner fee and typically cost 1,000 baht.

What kinds of hotels are girl friendly?

If you're a first timer planning a trip to Bangkok you're probably thinking that these hotels are some sort of short time sex hotel in a rundown section of the city. Well it's not true at all. Girl friendly is just a policy some hotels have and many big name hotels such as JW Marriott, Peninsula Bangkok and the Grand Hyatt Erawan do not charge their guests a fee for taking an unregistered companion to their rooms.

But those hotels may be a bit too steep for most people's wallets. Fortunately their are many locally run hotels that offer affordable rates and really good quality rooms and services, such as the Majestic Suites, On 8 Sukhumvit and Dynasty Inn Grande. You'll find many types of guests staying in these hotels such as business travelers, couples on holiday and even honeymooners on a romantic holiday.

Where to find girl friendly hotels?

These hotels are located throughout central Bangkok but the best area to stay in is between Nana and Soi Cowboy sex districts. You'll find go go bars, beer bars, clubs and places where Thai freelancers hang out in those areas. And Nana and Soi Cowboy are not that far away from each other. Both are connected by a major road called Sukhumvit and you can walk between those two in about 10 to 15 minutes. But along the way you'll find Thai freelancers hanging around sidewalk bars.

The biggest advantage of all is that you can bring your companion back to your hotel room so you won't have to rent a room at a short time hotel, which cost 300 baht an hour. Most companions will ask you for more money if you require them to travel further from where they work to your hotel room if it is further away.

Girl friendly Bangkok hotels are popular choices to stay in because they are clean good quality hotels and in the long run will save you money. There are many throughout Bangkok's sex districts but the popular ones are always booked full so it's best to reserve a room at least 2 weeks in advance.

Visit Bangkok Guest Friendly Hotel Guide to find more hotels in Bangkok that won't charge joiner fees.

Best Ladyboy Friendly Hotels in Bangkok

Bangkok's ladyboy scene has been growing through reputation and word of mouth for having some of the most beautiful transvestites in Southeast Asia. Just like bar girls in go go bars, ladyboys ply their trade in Bangkok's sex industry too. But you should make sure you book a room at a ladyboy friendly hotel or else you'll get charged a joiners fee.

Bangkok has 3 red light districts but only 2 have a large and popular ladyboy scene.

1. Patpong Ladyboys

Patpong is a red light district with go go bars running along 2 streets Patpong 1 and Patpong 2.  You can find a mix crowd of bar girls and ladyboys inside the go go bars with names such as King's Castle or Queen's Castle. However, only one go go bar has 100% ladyboys working inside and it's called King's Castle 3. It's easy to find, located right on Patpong 1 next to a Japanese restaurant called Mizu's Kitchen.

There is also a decent sized gay scene in Patpong found in Silom Soi 4 and Soi 2. And not too far up on Surawongse Road is Duangthawee Plaza, a small stretch of road filled with gay go go bars.

Patpong has the fewest amounts of ladyboy friendly hotels. Wall Street Inn is right across Duangthawee Plaza and is a good budget choice. Glitz Boutique Hotel is about a 5 minute walk away from Patpong's go go bars and is a better upscale choice with affordable room rates.

2. Nana Ladyboys

Nana is the largest red light district with it's center of activity happening at Nana Entertainment Plaza, a small 3 story building with go go bars tightly squeezed in. 5 ladyboy go go bars can be found here.

Obsessions - 1st floor Casanova - 2nd floor Temptations - 2nd floor Cascade - 4th floor Carnival - 4th floor

Ladyboys can also be found outside of Nana Entertainment Plaza. There's a handful right outside the entrance and more spread around.

The most popular ladyboy friendly hotels near Nana Entertainment Plaza is the Nana Hotel which is right across the street. Then there's the Majestic Suites just around the corner.

There are much more ladyboy friendly hotels in Bangkok with budget rates to first class 5 star hotels. And it's always a good decision to look for one near Nana Entertainment Plaza since that's where you can find the most ladyboys.

Visit Bangkok Guest Friendly Hotels for a list of hotels that are ladyboy friendly in Nana's red light district.

Which Hotels are Guest Friendly in Bangkok

All frequent visitors and revelers of Bangkok's red light districts will need a place to stay after a long night of partying with beautiful Thai women. And they'll usually invite a bar girl, freelancer or even both back to their hotel rooms. But before you even consider that you should make sure your hotel has a guest friendly policy.

What is a guest friendly policy?

There are hotels in Bangkok that will charge their guests a fee for taking a companion back to their rooms. And then there are those that don't. Thus these hotels are called guest friendly since you don't have to pay. You may have come across other terms like girl friendly and gay friendly. Non-guest friendly hotels charge up to B1,000 for bringing a companion back to your room.

Are these considered short time hotels?

No they are not. Guest friendly hotels in a way are better than short time hotels, assuming you're traveling alone that is. Short time hotels in Bangkok's red light districts charge B300 per hour. By booking a guest friendly hotel you'll be killing two birds with one stone. After all you're hotel bed will work just as fine as the bed in a short time hotel, plus you'll save yourself B300.

Are these hotels dirty and unsafe?

Most would be surprised to know that some of the best hotels in Bangkok are guest friendly. Ever heard of the Peninsula Bangkok? How about the Grand Hyatt Erawan? These are just a few names of the classiest hotels in the world that respect the privacy of their guests. It's true those hotels are also the most expensive hotels in Bangkok. However, there are plenty of locally run 3 to 5 star hotels in Bangkok that are very affordable.

Which hotels are guest friendly?

They are basically spread throughout Bangkok, but the best ones to stay in are in the red light districts of Nana or Soi Cowboy. Below are just a few hotel choices to consider:

Sacha's Hotel Uno Paradiso Boutique Suites Swiss Park Hotel S Sukhumvit Hotel Citadines Apartments

The reason why it's best to stay near the red light districts is obvious, that's where all the go go bars and freelancers are found. So if you made an agreement with your companion for short time (1 hour) you don't want to spend that time in a tuk tuk going back to your hotel that is 45 minutes away.

Needless to say many of these hotels are very popular choices for male travelers so it's best to book these hotels ahead of time. A few weeks ahead of time should be fine for low season (April-October). For high season (November - February) at least a month in advance is ideal.

Guest Friendly Hotels in Sukhumvit Bangkok

Staying in a guest friendly hotel in Bangkok is the right choice to make, especially when you're planning on visiting any of the infamous red light districts. These hotels don't charge their guests for taking a companion back to their rooms and are the preferred choice of hotels for seasoned visitors of Bangkok's go go bars and clubs.

Hotels in Bangkok that are guest friendly are found mostly throughout the red light districts. These hotels operate and run just like any other mainstream hotel except the fact that they allow guests to invite bar girls, gay companions, lady boys and freelancers back to their rooms for an overnight stay.

One of the most popular areas to find guest friendly hotels is along the commercial districts of Sukhumvit. There you'll find plenty of shops and businesses catering mainly to tourist and the large expat community that choose to make their homes in the condos and apartments all along Sukhumvit.

The major thoroughfare of Sukhumvit road runs through two red light districts, Nana and Soi Cowboy and both are just a short 10 minute walk away from each other.

This is a good reason why most seasoned visitors of the red light districts choose to stay in Sukhumvit.

One of the most popular hotels is Sacha's Hotel Uno located on Sukhumvit road Soi 19. This stylish boutique hotel opened recently in 2008 and is just a 10 minute walk to the go go bars of Soi Cowboy.

S15 Hotel is another new property right on Sukhumvit road. It's a modern hotel close to a popular freelance hot spot called Thermae located in the basement of the Ruamchitt Hotel.

Another new hotel right in the heart of club central is President Palace Hotel, located right on Sukhumvit road Soi 11. The President Palace will put you up close to popular clubs such as Bed Supper Club and Q Bar.

All of the guest friendly hotels mentioned here are within walking distance to the BTS Sky Train, the most efficient method of getting around the commercial areas of Bangkok. You can also use it to get to Patpong red light district.

So when planning a visit to Bangkok's red light districts make sure you book a hotel that has a no joiner fee policy. Non guest friendly hotels charge a joiner fee of B1000 which can really sour your trip in Bangkok.

Visit Bangkok Guest Friendly Hotels for a list of no joiner fee hotels in Bangkok.

Patpong Girl Friendly Hotels – Where to Stay in Bangkok’s Red Light Districts

Perhaps one of the most visited red light districts in Bangkok, Patpong has lured men from all corners of the globe with it's lights, affordable booze and the shuffling feets of go go bar girls on stage.

Patpong's go go bars line the streets of 2 lanes running parallel to each other called Patpong 1 and Patpong 2. Patpong is a sex district with an unconventional twist. With it's lively night market right on Patpong 1's streets comes droves of couples, groups of women and families haggling for cheap t-shirts and knock off Gucci hand bags.

Though Patpong may not seem like a "Boys Only" club there is still plenty of flesh for sale transactions going on. You'll often find bar girls in scantily clad attire leading men to short time hotels to fulfill there fantasy for an hour. A room cost B300 an hour and are often not clean.

But most seasoned visitors to Bangkok's red light districts know better than to spend money renting a room at short time hotels.

Instead they stay in a hotel that has a girl friendly policy. What this means is a guest is allowed to take a companion back to their room; be it a bar girl, freelancer, lady-boy or gay and not required to pay an extra fee. Because non girl friendly hotels require guest to pay something called a joiner fee which ranges from B500 and can go as high as B1000, depending on the hotel's policy.

Even though Patpong is not the biggest red light district it has the fewest girl friendly hotels within walking distance. Hotels such as Wall Street Inn, Tawana Bangkok and De Arni Hotel are just a few examples of hotels in Patpong that won't charge their guest a joiner fee.

One thing you should remember is to book the rooms for two guest. In most cases it won't cost you extra and is just a requirement from hotel management.

Finally girl friendly hotels are just like any other regular hotel who welcomes guests such as business and leisure travels. So they are not some kind of sex only hotel. Suffice to say girl friendly hotels are very popular with travelers and should be booked a few weeks in advance.

For more girl friendly hotels in Patpong visit Patpong Guest Friendly Hotels where you'll find a complete list of no joiner fee hotels in Bangkok.

Bangkok Girl Friendly Hotel Information

Bangkok certainly has one of the best red light districts in all of Southeast Asia. There are so many go go bars, beer bars and massage parlors to make a man coming back for more. To enjoy your trip to Bangkok even more it's best to stay in a hotel that is girl friendly near the red light districts.

There are 2 main reasons why most seasoned visitors to Bangkok's red light districts choose to stay in a girl friendly hotel.

Hotel won't charge you a joiner fee. Non girl friendly hotels charge either B500 or B1000 to their guest for taking a companion back to their room. Short time rooms cost B300 per hour. Why pay extra when your hotel room is perfectly fine?

Hotels that do not charge joiner fees can be found in all 3 of Bangkok's red light districts.

1. Soi Cowboy

Even though Soi Cowboy is the smallest red light district it still packs a huge adult entertainment value. For starters many of the go go bars there offer happy hours and special discounts for drinks. But we don't just go there for the booze. Some of the most popular go go bars are in Soi Cowboy; Long Gun, Toy Bar, Baccara, Spice Girls and so much more have been the primary reasons why this particular red light district is most popular with the expat community.

A few popular girl friendly hotels near Soi Cowboy:

Jasmine Executive Suites Paradiso Boutique Suites City Lodge 19

2. Nana

Very close to Soi Cowboy, Nana's red light district is considered the largest mostly because there is a huge freelance scene dispersed throughout the area. You can find them in beer bars, pool bars, certain streets and especially at Nana hotel's parking lot. And just across the parking lot is the world famous Nana Entertainment Plaza (NEP). It's a short building with 3 floors packed with go go bars. I like to compare NEP to a sex department store because that's what it really is.

A few popular girl friendly hotels near Nana:

Nana Hotel Swiss Park Hotel Ibis Nana Hotel (New)

3. Patpong

Perhaps the place that started Bangkok's go go bar scene, Patpong has long been a favorite for it's dozens of go go bars and it's lively night market. It's a bit more touristy and not really a "Men's Only" red light district but it's go go bars still offers some of the best adult entertainment this side of Bangkok. There's even a popular gay scene not far from the lights and glitters of Patpong's go go bars.

A few popular girl friendly hotels near Patpong:

Glitz Hotel (New) Ballys Silom Suites The Tawana Bangkok

Some hotels that don't charge joiner fees may require you to book a room for 2 guests. In most instances it won't cost you extra money anyways. So it's good practice to do so.

Bangkok Guest Friendly Hotels – Guide to Hotels in Bangkok’s Red Light Districts

Where to find guest friendly hotels in Bangkok has been one of the most asked questions going around web forums. To be honest it's not that hard. And the simple answer is anywhere near one of Bangkok's 3 red light districts is where you will find the most guest friendly hotels.

Just what is a guest friendly hotel exactly? A hotel that is deemed guest friendly means that the hotel's management will not charge their customers a joiner fee for taking a guest back to their rooms. A joiner fee cost 500THB but it can be higher depending on the hotel. So if you unknowingly book a non-guest friendly hotel and plan on taking a guest back up to your room for a 7 day holiday then you're going to be paying more money unnecessarily.

As mentioned before, the best place to find guest friendly hotels is near any one of Bangkok's 3 red light districts. Many of these hotels offer great quality and excellent service, and the room rates vary from budget to 5 star luxury.

Patpong's red light district has the fewest guest friendly hotels in the immediate area. Some of the names are Tawana Ramada, Rose Hotel and the Montien Hotel. You'll find some more along the river such as the Peninsula Hotel Bangkok, which is expensive by the way.

The area where you can find the highest concentration of guest friendly hotels are in the Sukhumvit area, which coincidentally has two red light districts named Nana and Soi Cowboy. Most of the guest friendly hotels are located along the side streets of Sukhumvit road. Some of the names of guest friendly hotels in Sukhumvit are the Majestic Suites, Amari Boulevard, Grand President and Sheraton Grande.

When you're booking guest friendly hotels it is best to book the room for two guests. In most instances the rates are the same anyway. This is just an extra safety precaution as service treatment in Bangkok's hotel can vary from customer to customer. Also since guest friendly hotels are so popular you should keep several alternatives in mind just in case your first hotel choice has no rooms available.

Best Bar Girl Friendly Hotels Near Bangkok’s Sex Districts

Finding the right bar girl in Bangkok's go go bars can be a whole lot of fun. But what's not fun is heading back to your hotel and finding out you have to pay a 500 Baht joiner fee so that your bar girl can stay overnight in your room. Talk about ruining the mood.

That's why it's important to book a hotel in Bangkok that has a bar girl friendly policy. These hotels will never charge you extra for taking a lady back to your room. It's probably even more important since 500 Baht a night can really add up, especially if you're on a budget.

Luckily there are many bar girl friendly hotels throughout Bangkok. And most of them are just a stones throw to Bangkok's popular sex districts.

Now most people email me asking me which is the best sex district to find a bar girl friendly hotel. I always recommend the Nana sex district. Why? Well mainly because Nana has the most clubs and bars to pick up ladies in. And my personal favorite for go go bars is inside the Nana Entertainment Plaza (NEP).

My Personal favorite go go bars in NEP are Angel Witch and Rainbows. Remember in go go bars you have to pay a 500 Baht bar fine to the go go bar before your lady can leave the bar with you. It's non negotiable.

The best bar girl friendly hotels in Nana are the Majestic Suites, Dawin Hotel, Amari Boulevard, Landmark Hotel and the JW Marriott.

Staying in any of these hotels will also put you in walking distance to Soi Cowboy, another popular sex district filled with go go bars. You can literally walk to Soi Cowboy in about 10 minutes.

There's another sex district called Patpong. You can get there by taking the BTS Sky Train to Sala Daeng station. The good thing about the bar girl friendly hotels I mentioned in the Nana area is that there's a BTS Station near them too. So it's a convenient location for nightlife action.

Remember most bar girl friendly hotels require your lady of the night to leave her Thai I.D. card with the hotel's security desk. It's only for your protection. And make sure you book your room ahead of time since most of these hotels are very popular.

For more hotels that don't charge joiner fees visit Best Bar Girl Friendly Hotels.

Bangkok’s Newest Bar Girl Friendly Hotels 2009

Bar girl friendly hotels are some of the most popular accommodation choices in Bangkok. They range from budget to high end luxury hotels. But if you've been reading my articles then you know the best time to take advantage of great hotel rates is when they first open. And in this article you'll find out 3 of the best and newest bar girl friendly hotels in Bangkok.

Just to clarify, a bar girl friendly hotel means that the hotel will not charge you a fee for taking a bar girl back to your room. You may have also heard of guest friendly or girl friendly hotels. Bar girl friendly hotels run just like any other business or leisure hotel in Bangkok. So don't worry they are not some filthy sex motels.

This year Bangkok's red light district of Nana has seen an explosion of new visitors. So it's no small coincidence that Nana has most newest hotels built in the area to meet the demands of guests from all over the world.

The President Palace is one such new bar girl friendly hotel located on the forever popular Soi 11 on Sukhumvit road. The President Palace is part of a popular hotel chain in Bangkok, renowned for excellent service and high quality. Their standard rooms are spacious and since it's new you'll never have to worry about the room quality. The President Palace is just a 10 minute walk to Nana Entertainment Plaza and a 15 minute walk to Soi Cowboy. There's also a Sky Train station not too far away.

Next newest bar girl friendly hotel is the Ibis Nana Hotel. Ibis is another popular hotel name and their newest hotel is located just a short 3 minute walk to Nana Entertainment Plaza where you can find some of the best go go bars in Bangkok. This Ibis hotel is an ideal location for taking bar girls and freelance girls back to your room, without paying for a short time hotel room. The Ibis Nana Hotel only has standard rooms and are on the small side but still comfortable.

Finally another new bar girl friendly hotel worth mentioning is the On 8 Sukhumvit Hotel located on Sukhumvit road Soi 8. This is a very modern hotel with a professional staff. Just right outside of On 8 hotel on the opposite street are many freelance ladies to pick up. Plus it doesn't hurt that On 8 is just a 5 minute walk to Nana Entertainment Plaza.

All three of these hotels are new and they've reduced their room rates to attract new guests to their doors. They'll probably raise their rates in about another year so it's a good idea to take advantage of their rates today.

Visit Bangkok Bar Girl Friendly Hotels for a list of hotels in Bangkok that do not require joiner fees.
