Question by Stinky Monkey: Arriving in Bangkok at midnight - what date to put for hotel?
I'm arriving in Bangkok at midnight - the trip to the hotel will take another hour. So, I'll be at the hotel at around 1am.
What date should I select for the "check-in" date?
Best answer:
Answer by mblastguy Check in would be for the previous day because that is the night you are staying. You might want to call once you get in to be sure that there is someone there at the desk when you get in or just call to say you are getting in really late that night so that they will expect you.
Fun in Phuket Thailand! As a beautiful Thai girl gets dressed to go out for Bangla Rd fun! You don't get this much fun in Bangkok, Pattaya or Chang Mai do you?
Atlanta Hotel in Bankok
The first question that occurred to me when I came across the Atlanta Hotel was how did it get here? Located in the heart of Sukhumvit, home to Bangkok's sodomesque sex district, where fat, middle-aged men from around the world convene to drink beer all day and consort with thin Thai girls all night, a sign by the hotel's entrance is unequivocal: Sex Tourists Not Welcome.
VIE BAR & Entertainment Complex Throughout month of March 2010 VIE Hotel Bangkok
Designed for lovers of fine wine, exquisite dining, and sparkling entertainment, VIE BAR is a chic venue to compliment your unique lifestyle. With its contemporary d?cor, ambient lighting, a live band
I would like a hotel that has a large complimentary breakfast buffet, is modern, and can accomodate 2 adults (40 yrs), a boy of 18yrs, a girl of 17yrs, and a boy of 15 yrs. A fitness center would be nice.
We're also looking to go towards the end of december and its very difficult to get availability. Our budget is less than 175 USD a night.
Bangkok certainly has one of the best red light districts in all of Southeast Asia. There are so many go go bars, beer bars and massage parlors to make a man coming back for more. To enjoy your trip to Bangkok even more it's best to stay in a hotel that is girl friendly near the red light districts.
There are 2 main reasons why most seasoned visitors to Bangkok's red light districts choose to stay in a girl friendly hotel.
Hotel won't charge you a joiner fee. Non girl friendly hotels charge either B500 or B1000 to their guest for taking a companion back to their room. Short time rooms cost B300 per hour. Why pay extra when your hotel room is perfectly fine?
Hotels that do not charge joiner fees can be found in all 3 of Bangkok's red light districts.
1. Soi Cowboy
Even though Soi Cowboy is the smallest red light district it still packs a huge adult entertainment value. For starters many of the go go bars there offer happy hours and special discounts for drinks. But we don't just go there for the booze. Some of the most popular go go bars are in Soi Cowboy; Long Gun, Toy Bar, Baccara, Spice Girls and so much more have been the primary reasons why this particular red light district is most popular with the expat community.
A few popular girl friendly hotels near Soi Cowboy:
Jasmine Executive Suites Paradiso Boutique Suites City Lodge 19
2. Nana
Very close to Soi Cowboy, Nana's red light district is considered the largest mostly because there is a huge freelance scene dispersed throughout the area. You can find them in beer bars, pool bars, certain streets and especially at Nana hotel's parking lot. And just across the parking lot is the world famous Nana Entertainment Plaza (NEP). It's a short building with 3 floors packed with go go bars. I like to compare NEP to a sex department store because that's what it really is.

3. Patpong
Perhaps the place that started Bangkok's go go bar scene, Patpong has long been a favorite for it's dozens of go go bars and it's lively night market. It's a bit more touristy and not really a "Men's Only" red light district but it's go go bars still offers some of the best adult entertainment this side of Bangkok. There's even a popular gay scene not far from the lights and glitters of Patpong's go go bars.

Some hotels that don't charge joiner fees may require you to book a room for 2 guests. In most instances it won't cost you extra money anyways. So it's good practice to do so.

The Woraburi Sukhumvit Hotel & Resort may not be the newest hotel in the red light district of Nana in Bangkok. But it's girl friendly policy and close proximity to Nana Entertainment Plaza has made this hotel a popular standby for frequent travelers to Bangkok.
Quality:
The Woraburi Hotel is a 3 star hotel tucked away on Sukhumvit Soi 4. Which is just about right with my review and expectations. They do consider themselves a resort yet there really isn't too much of a resort quality or amenities. I'm not saying that they are purposely misleading anyone becauseyou usually get more for what you pay for hotels in Bangkok compared to hotels elsewhere.
Value:
There are 5 room types to choose from at the Woraburi Sukhumvit.
Standard (20 sqm.) Superior (25 sqm.) Deluxe (30 sqm.) Grand Deluxe (36 sqm.) Woraburi Room (52 sqm.)
Standard rooms at time of writing cost 1100 THB including daily buffet breakfast. But as you can see 20 sqm. is a bit tight. The Woraburi room cost 2880 THB for a big space and in my opinion well worth it. The Woraburi is quite old and it seems the hotel exterior is better maintained then the rooms. However, you can expect clean rooms. The Woraburi Sukhumvit is also girl friendly so you don't have to pay a 500 THB joiner fee for bringing an unregistered guest back to your room. This is a big money saver especially since most men do bring ladies back to their rooms after spending time in a go go bar. You do have to pay extra for Wi-Fi Internet access, but at least there's a nice swimming pool.
Location:
Woraburi Sukhumvit is a 5 minute stroll to the red light district of Nana Entertainment Plaza. Another red light district called Soi Cowboy is only a 20 minute walk away too. It's no surprise that Woraburi is one of the most popular girl friendly hotels in Bangkok. Plus it doesn't hurt that the location is in the center of Bangkok with many bars, pubs and restaurants to eat and get drunk in. The BTS Sky Train is a 10 minute walk and can take you to other points of interest in Bangkok easily.
Conclusion:
If you want a nice budget hotel that offers comfort and convenience and in a central location then the Woraburi Sukhumvit is an excellent choice. Remember though, this hotel is near two popular red light districts. So even though resort is a part of the hotel's name you may not want to take your wife and kids here.

New hotels pop up all over Bangkok all the time due to the large volume of tourist from all over the world every year. And most people prefer to stay in a fresh brand new hotel. Especially one that won’t charge you a joiner’s fee for taking a midnight companion back to their rooms.
Most guest friendly hotels can be found near and around the red light districts of Bangkok. There’s only three in total and they are all relatively close to each other. Many guest friendly hotels operate normally like any hotel. They just have a fairer policy on who you invite back to your room, even though you’ve registered your room for two.
The area with the most guest friendly hotels is between Nana and Soi Cowboy red light districts. That’s where you will find many newly opened guest friendly hotels.
Some names of these hotels are Dynasty Inn Grande, The Dawin Hotel and the Ibis Nana Hotel. All are located on Sukhumvit Soi 4. They are all about a 5 minute walk to the go go bars of Nana Plaza and the parking lot of the Nana hotel where you can find dozens of Thai freelancers hanging around. Those hotels are really in a prime location.
If you prefer to be closer to the red light district of Soi Cowboy then consider S15 Sukhumvit Hotel, President Palace Bangkok and the Paradiso Boutique Suites. All are within a 5 to 10 minute walk to the wild nightlife of Soi Cowboy.
Remember all new hotels in Bangkok go through a yearlong soft operation. This means guest services may take a little bit longer so be patient.
The good news is many newly opened hotels in Bangkok always have special discounted room rates. It’s just a way for these hotels to draw in new guest to help spread the word around.
Finally it’s always good practice to book your rooms for two people. It’s just a formality hotels require whenever there will be two people sleeping a room, even though you are a single traveler. It normally doesn’t cost any extra so there’s no harm in doing so.
Guest friendly hotels offer some of the highest quality rooms and services in Bangkok. So don’t worry about it being some sort of seedy hotel for sex fiends. Many of these hotels are professionally managed by local Thai and international hotel companies with guests ranging from family vacationers to business travelers.

Bangkok’s girl friendly hotels are the obvious choice for visitors who want to visit the red light districts. These hotels don’t charge joiner fees for inviting a companion back to their rooms for short time or overnight stays. But where can you find the best hotel deals in Bangkok.
There are many hotel reservation agencies on the Internet and one of the most well known ones is Agoda.com. By now you’ve probably come across their website a few times already when you were doing some preliminary hotel searches in Bangkok.
Agoda.com offers many benefits for travelers booking through their website. One of the benefits they are most well known for is the Agoda rewards points program. Whether you book hotels in Bangkok a few times a year or more you’ll earn enough points to qualify for discounts on future hotel reservations.
It’s real easy to enroll in the Agoda rewards. You simply make your first booking and you’re a member and have begun earning points. You get 4% -7% worth of points from the room rates. Book more through Agoda and the points add up quickly and you can eventually use those points for free nights.
What I also like about Agoda is the quick confirmation. You can find out how many rooms are available by simply doing a date search for the specific hotel you’re interested in. If your room choice is available all you have to do is finalize your reservation and print out the confirmation to present to the hotel.
A real treat is you can also earn 500 rewards points just by making a review of the hotel you’ve booked through them.
Agoda.com is a highly reputable choice for travelers who need to find a hotel room quick. They offer competitive room rates as well as special discount offers for many hotels in Bangkok.
